what keeps Desperate Housewives DVD Box set from descending into soap opera?

Desperate Housewives Season 1-5 DVD Boxset is different than most, at least to me. I thought Desperate Housewives Seasons was going to be more of a "Soap Opera" type but it's more of a drama with comic undertones. It'll make you laugh mostly, make you cry sometimes and make you sit there with your mouth hanging open thinking "I can't believe she did that!". Desperate Housewives Seasons - The Complete Fifth Season saw Desperate Housewives dvd jumping 5 years ahead, I think it was a good change but by the end of the season, the storylines started getting ridiculous. I liked how Gaby lost her sex appeal and Carlos got his sight back. I didn't care for the whole Mike and Katherine new couple situation, they have no chemistry! Felicity Huffman is my favorite actress on this show but I didn't like how her character became so boring. I was very upset when Creator Marc Cherry killed off Edie played brilliantly by Nicolette Sheridan. The best episode of the season of Desperate Housewives dvd is the last one Sheridan is in, she was a force to be wrecken with, and she proved she could act - Desperate Housewives box set doesn't feel the same without her. The strength of the show is in its writing and directing. There is not a wasted word or scene in each episode. Each episode manages to be both dramatic and darkly comic at the same time. This writing and directing is what keeps Desperate Housewives series from descending into soap opera. If the skilled use of dark comedy was not used effectively throughout, this series would descend into mawkish melodrama. Because of this wit, style and writing, I don't really care what the recent crises are on Desperate Housewives dvd, I care about seeing how they handle it as a piece of dark comic theater.

Dexter Seasons 1-3 DVD Boxset is a blood spatter analist for miami P.D.he has a girl friend and a sister on the force with him. Oh and he is a serial killer.Yeah. But Dexter series only kills bad people. So thats kind of a redeeming feature right?
So Dexter dvd sounds a bit weird. But its never once glorified serialkilerism! Never once! Dexter is always encountering problems whenever he is goig around and making sure that his family and friends never find out about his interesting little hobby. Dexter seasons its self is fasinating to see some every day problems dealt with from a purely emotionless perspective. The acting in Dexter dvds is amazing. Behind Dexter dvd exterior you can see that everything that he does is purely mechanical. There is no emotion inside of him. Every day to day activity is just an obstical obstical before the next kill.

Sons of Anarchy Season 1 DVD ROCKS. Yes, it is adult drama, not for the kids, but the premise is tight and well written.
Sons of Anarchy Season 1 is the best of the past year. (The other good ones seem to be getting broomed by network execs). SOA KICKS, it ROCKS. The networks can keep Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Apprentice, American Idol and the like. I'd rather go blind than to watch that stuff. Although we all know that Sons of Anarchy season is fictional, it seems and feels more like real life than the other dregs of the television world. No lip gloss or stage tears here. Instead we are presented with an intricate Sons of Anarchy dvd and well-written story line, with great acting by a cast totally in their element: a solid script, good presentation, and appealing in a variety of genres. You have action, suspence, drama and a little comedy thrown in. What more could Sons of Anarchy dvd ask for?

I watched Battlestar Galactica series 1-4 when it first aired many moons ago. I was hooked. Then the Battlestar Galactica series 1-4 DVD started and I couldn't watch it for some reason. I just never bothered. Then I heard it was awesome. I knew Battlestar Galactica dvd would be and so I netflixed Battlestar Galactica series and watched every single season to catch up. I then watched the second half of the fourth season in 'real time' and I was so thrilled by every moment because every moment counted. I love everything about Battlestar Galactica dvd the plot, characters, scenes. There is not even one episode that I can call boring or unnecessary or foolish. Battlestar Galactica dvds connects everything very well, like passing from multi god religion and Greek mythology to one god religion. The concept of angels and creation. I am happy to say that the plot is written so wisely and intellectual for a TV show , and thanks to writers for that.And a really superb ending for Battlestar Galactica series but I would be happy if a saw more scenes of Lee and Starbuck. This is one of Battlestar Galactica box set that I really miss to watch.

Still 10 years down the track i love watching Dawson's Creek Seasons 1-6 DVD Boxset. The characters, the story lines and the dialogue may not be great at times, but a classic all the same.
Dawson's Creek series 1-6 is one of those shows that i literally grew up watching, and Dawson's Creek 1-6 dvd grew up with me. Although the later seasons may have been a little far fetched so to speak, however, as the relationships between the characters mature, which was a nice advancement of the series. I loved the Joey and Pacey dynamic that was played pretty much up to season 5 and some of season 6. Dawson's Creek dvd, on the other hand would be one of the most annoying title characters of all time!At times i wish he would stop talking the psychobabble and actually grow up...ironic i know considering they all spoke like they were 15 going on 30!Dawson's Creek dvd is timeless, and will probably continue to watch Dawson's Creek dvd for very many years to come. A great show that wasn't afraid to make fun of itself... or anyone else.Dawson's Creek box set was a great show. It didn't have the best actors, or the best storylines, or the best scripts. The true value of Dawson's Creek dvd was the way that it wasn't afraid to knock itself, its genre, and anything that its actors had previously been in. Episodes regularly had satirical references to other TV shows and movies.

Excellent Escapism for non-runners.
There is a lot to be said for Eureka Complete Seasons 1-3 DVD Boxset
. flaky, goofy and at times weird. However, it is not boring, and heaps fun to watch. Between the layers of gadget, gizmo's and special effects lies a deeper story, layered like cake with snappy dialogues. The dialogues between Stark and Carter are nothing short of hilarious and they both have the power and charisma to Eureka series 1-3 that there is more to life. See this not as some deep philosophical series. Eureka series 1-3 is simple high-grade entertainment, where we see that the totally uber-modern stark still gets slapped around technically by the sherrif who stopped evolving with the start of the microwave. Add to that the women who's beauty jump top models by the graces of their played IQ and you have for an interesting mix. Special mention to Joe Morton who plays Henry Deacon. The garage man who can challenge Einstein and is pretty much a moral anchor for all the people. He is just out there making Eureka series 1-3 happen. In the end, you wonder what makes this series work, and Eureka 1-3 dvd does. Almost all are unknown elements who are excelling in making you forget about your daily worries. Excellent Eureka dvd!

CSI Miami Seasons 1-7 DVD Boxset is a spin off series of the rlly popular CSI Complete Series. Both series are rlly grt, rlly cool. As the other CSIs, the show is about cases being solved by a group of forensic agents using the latest technology. Set in Miami.CSI Miami series 1-7 is awesome. Is a grt show, as are CSI: Crime Scene Investigaton and CSI: New York. The three shows are grt. It has all the drama and action, and some times even comedy. Is amazing, all the cases they solve and all the drama. As other crime drama shows, every episode opens a case and is solved. CSI Miami dvd is awesome. Addictive, dramatic, and an all around fantastic series! I really recommend watching it. hide show CSI Miami dvd is one of the best crime drama shows on television, at least in my personal opinion. I just can't stop watching, especially since Eric and Calleigh became a couple. It's so addictive! Eric, Calleigh, Ryan, and all the rest of them really make CSI Miami dvd. Though sometimes it gets away from the actual "Crime Investigating" and more towards the drama part of it, but hey, that's what keeps people so interested. The cast of CSI Miami Seasons is outstanding and the cases are exciting even if they move a tad bit out the realm of reality from time to time.

The L Word dvd was a groundbreaking, unique and interesting show. It broke down the barriers of television and changed society. The L Word offered an outlet into world where I didn't have to hide who I actually was. It offered a world with characters I, and almost anyone, straight or gay could relate to. The L Word dvd let me be myself, when in the real world I couldn't and still can't. The L Word dvd was funny, drama-filled, and you can't forget the amazing sex scenes. Each character had their own problems, but each one still stayed close to their friends. Bette and Tina are, in my opinion, one of the best relationships on the show. Though both Bette and Tina have their conflicts with each other and with themselves, they do truly love one another. Alice is definitely the funniest character in the show, though she still has her own conflicts and does struggle with love. S Throughout The L Word dvd, Helena struggles with trust issues, but after living without any money, she learns how to take care of herself and be independent. Jenny is one of the most interesting characters. She is one of those people that you either love or hate, and your feelings can change instantly. At first, Jenny is an innocent girl living with her boyfriend, but as the show goes one Jenny changes drastically. By the end of the fourth season, Jenny is arrogant and manipulative. Jenny for some reason tends to ruin relationships, though I don't think she always means to. All of the characters bring something different to the story and I think everyone can relate to at least one of the characters. After six seasons, The L Word seasons ended, and a jam-packed six seasons they were. The L Word series ended with a controversial bang, in season six. Despite the many opinions on the ending, The L Word ended the similarly to the way it started. The show started with Jenny's "birth" and ended with her death. We are never supposed to know who killed her. It will remain a mystery forever. Anybody can watch The L Word series, no matter his or her sexual orientation. The L Word box set was about people with flaws trying to find love, and I think everybody can relate to that.

Medium Seasons 1-4 DVD BOXSET is an excellant show. it has great story line. the young actors that play the kids are really good. i just can't say enough great things about Medium 1-4. and i'm not one to get on line a do this sort of thing. but when i heard it was going off air, i was so mad. One of my favorite show ever. I like everyone of the actors, the story lines, everything about it. please don't take Medium 1-4 off the tv. i missed part of the end story so i will have to rent the cd when Medium 1-4 comes out i guess. i taped it for one hour but missed the end. i love the way the husband and wife dicuss things and work things out. wonderful to see that it can be done. i know it's only a tv show but it's a good influense on people and families. need more like it. and the story line is different. i had a friend who use to have dreams and if she dreamed something 3 times i a row i usually came true. so this show is very real to me. keep it going. I love Allison. Medium 1-4 is a good show not a ground breaking one but it is nice to watch it. What I really like is the charachter are very real like neighbours next door. I mean like Allison she is a little bit overwight, not thin like all the other star of the other series but her face and eyes are very beautiful. Their house is always a mess like neutral 3 children home. Every detail is like real in my opinion.I like the coollness of Joe even Allison wakes him up in the middle of the night. And the funny talkings of Bridgette. I admit that some of the episodes were very boring but most of them are very good and watchable. I hope Medium DVD will continue for more seasons.

Perhaps the greatest sitcom ever. The cast of MASH Seasons 1-11 DVD Boxset was top-notch. Alan Alda as Hawkeye was my favourite. When Wayne Rogers was replaced by Mike Farrell the series dropped some points but still MASH series 1-11 was good. The dialogue lines are very different from that of other series. MASH dvd never lost it's edge in my eyes, I mean sure, like every show they had their not so great episodes, but they always recovered. They are fresh, funny and very intelligent. One note is the 11 year run of "MASH dvd" as it's evidence of MASH Seasons is success. "MASH" was pretentiously contrived as the thinking man's satire upon war but it is not just that. "MASH series" is something more. You'll have just to see MASH series. The perfect mix of comedy and drama. M*A*S*H can be one of the funniest shows at times and at the same time can be really sad. This is what makes it so great. My favourite 'era' of cheap MASH DVD was in the early days when Trapper and Henry. With Hawkeye and Trapper constantly pulling pranks on Frank and 'Hotlips,' Henry having the latter two always going over his head and many other things always made you laugh. I didn't like the later seasons quite as much because it didn't have any laughter at all and by then it was basically a drama. I still thought it was great show though, just little bit, and not as good as it used to be. The thing about M*A*S*H that made it different than a lot of shows is that; you really get drawn into the characters. In full, MASH box set was an amazing show. The show also has multiple characters who exit the show and are replaced with other very different characters. These changes are handled very well, and don't try to mimic the departing character.For those who have never seen MASH DVDs (I had not seen it until 2 years ago) I highly recommend that you see it from the beginning.

Family Guy Season 1-7 DVD Boxset is most certainly a funny show while it is now flawless.
Family Guy Season 1-7 DVD Boxset is one of the most entertainign shows to date, the jokes are tried and true, and it has a very satisfying miss to hit ratio. The animation is nice and te colors and drawings look top notch, but there is a small amount of recyling that may add to the feeling that the animators are not putting 100% into Family Guy Season 1-7. Whiel the jokes are indeed funny, they tend to be mostly on the adult side and are most certainly not for all audiences. It also seems that alot of the miss jokes for the show tend to go over the moral line, which subtracts from the overall iage from Family Guy Season 1-7 DVD. If your looking for a good laugh and a good way to pass your time, Family Guy 1-7 is a pretty good candidate.

I loved Charmed Seasons 1-8 DVD Boxset from the first episode!I remember watching Charmed Seasons 1-8 DVD Boxset when I was younger, I thought it was the coolest thing. Recently, over the last few months, I've collected all the seasons on DVD. It is so amazing.I love the characters of Charmed Seasons 1-8, especially the sisters (my favourite being Piper, Phoebe and Paige). I love Leo, he is so amazing and an essential to Charmed Seasons 1-8 and to the sisters lives. The demons and the humans are also amazing. Every character plays the perfect role and adds to the overall show.I only have one compliant and that's Shannon (don't snap please, I know a lot of people love her) but she should have done a guest role in the seasons where she was dead. But, I've heard she's a b**ch, so whatever. Charmed 1-8 DVD is amazing nonetheless.

You won't be dissapointed of Buffy The Vampire Slayer dvd. One of the original appeals of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series 1-7--aside from the fantasy and girl power--was the quick wit of the dialogue amongst the characters. While it's always hard to place that dialogue in real life, you can accept the witty reparte when your main character is a supernaturally powered teenage girl who fights vampires and other evil monsters. Buffy The Vampire Slayer 1-7 throughout the years has always give us entertainment and with this last season she proves to us that she's going out with a blast.This dvd pack comes with all the season 7 episodes that are truly great such as the first episode "lessons" which talk about the remaking of the hellmouth highschool that buffy had to destroy.Other episodes are with spike dealing with himself now that he has a soul.Then we still have the annoying dawn who does'nt seem to adjust to her crazy life with buffy this season also has the return of faith to help buffy with the hardest mission she'll ever face.I love this season because it reflects the first season which make it one of the best Buffy The Vampire Slayer dvds shows EVER.

Doctor Who Season 1-4 DVD Boxset: Series Four was, in my opinion, superior to the previous three series'. Yes, there were low points, but each series of Doctor Who DVD has had those. For this series of Doctor Who Box set, the writers - as a collective whole - did a fantastic job of dropping clues here and there, and there was a sense of anticipation as the series went from one episode to the next; quite simply, the building up to the finale was masterfully done. One of the great things about the modern-day Doctor Who complete sereis is how, each season, the episodes build off each other to help create truly epic and rewarding finales. Doctor Who series 1-4 dvd has never been more true than in the 4th season of this fantastic series. David Tennant Is Brilliant! The WHOLE Doctor Who DVD show has me watching certain episodes more than 5 times!

Felicity

I am a huge Felicity series 1-4 fan. I have loved and will always love Felicity series 1-4.I was at first skeptical about the time-travel storyline, but found that Felicity series 1-4 brought a much-needed lightness to Felicity dvd which was very heavy in this final season.This is where I have my main complaint. Felicity and Ben were facing very difficult times due to her insecurity about the future and Ben's dad illness (by the way, an outstanding dramatic performance by John Ritter). The added sub-plot with Lauren's pregnancy and Ben becoming a father, was too much. For me, this was the element that spoiled Felicity dvd from being perfect. I don't think they really needed to include this in Felicity dvd, for many reasons, but mostly because in our dream world it would have been nice to imagine what the show could not give us, their life after college. It would have been nice to imagine Felicity and Ben getting married, and experiencing the joys of parenthood together and for the first time for both. For me, this sub-plot is a dark cloud that will stay with them forever. Another problem with Felicity box set is the final episode's omission of the scenes which explain how Elena is present at Noel's wedding after we know she dies. Before seeing the bonus material, I thought it was her spirit, even though I could not explain Tracy's presence. This was a huge thing, and it was very disappointing to see the creators explain that they had to cut out some scenes from the last Felicity box set because it was too long; when they used many clips from previous shows that we did not need to see again. This said, I was glad for this twist.

After crying all throughout Gilmore Girls series 1-7 finally I have to say that it really was time to say goodbye and I would buy this seasons set for the last episode alone! That scene when Lorelai and Luke make-up is precious and as a fan of the show from the beginning I truly feel that in that moment Lorelai is completely happy in Gilmore Girls series 1-7, and she finally realized that Luke is a big part of that happiness. Gilmore Girls 1-7 box set has definitely had it's up and downs but I'm giving it 5 stars because as a whole I have never seen a show like this one and don't think I ever will. I often feel that Gilmore Girls dvd fans are so hard on the show because they really don't realize how good we had it, we got use to such a high standard of writing and acting that anything less brought out red flags. Nonetheless, it seems unreasonable to think that the series could keep that standard for every episode in every season of Gilmore Girls box set, especially after the original creators left abruptly after the sixth season. So whatever that's worth I feel this show is a great investment and although it's centered around a mother-daughter relationship, a lot of men like Gilmore Girls dvd as well even though they might not like to admit it:-)

CSI Lasvegas Seasons 1-9 DVD Boxset is the best crime drama on tv. It forages into new territory all the time. The characters of CSI Lasvegas Seasons 1-9 DVD Boxset actually keep the audience interested. There is just enough true crime scene investigation tactics to make you wonder if CSI Lasvegas Seasons 1-9 is really how they do that. There is also just enough humor in CSI Lasvegas Seasons so that the viewer realizes these could be real people. Out of all the Csi shows, this is the orginal and the best of the csi shows. Grissom is a great character and he makes CSI Lasvegas Seasons 1-9...so smart, and knowledgeable. And I love his relationship with bugs. Every episode is exciting and has an intrigueing plot. There are some side plots that add to the shows events. I am, however, very disappointed that Grissom was written off CSI Lasvegas 1-9 DVD..If I wanted to see Morphius, I would watch the Matrix. He is nowhere comparable to Grissom. I will go on watch CSI Lasvegas 1-9 DVD although now that Grissom is gone.

So, Scrubs Seasons 1-8 DVD was the only tv show that I actually kept up with. Scrubs Seasons 1-8 DVD was funny, heart warming, had great actors doing great work, Scrubs Seasons 1-8 DVD had wonderful stories and fantastic cinematic qualities... This season didn't quite make Scrubs DVD in the greatness that was once Scrubs DVD. Although it was still pretty damn good, I had higher expectations. Humor is subjective... and not everyone likes the same thing.
I happen to LOVE Scrubs DVD!... if you like Seinfeld, 30 Rock, My Name is Earl... The Office... Try Scrubs DVD! Of course he is also backed up with a great supporting cast also with Dr Perry Ullysees Cox and his best pal Chris Turk the mix just seema right. Even when things seemed to be going bad for Scrubs seasons in the mist of the writers strike during season 7 they managed to pound out good episodes due to the high level of comedy but the great balance of emotion on show, this is emphasised with the arrival of season 8.To me Scrubs seasons has surpassed Friends and Will and Grace in comedy level due to the fact it is that good .

Farscape 1-4 dvd. I am a huge farscape fan, but for some reason, when the second half of season 3 aired on the scifi channel, I missed a lot of those
episodes. I think I started watching Farscape box set again at the end of Farscape box set. I bought the third volume of Farscape box set a couple weeks ago and watched it. Surprisingly, I think I had only seen the last 2 in that volume of episodes. I disagree with the reviewer below me about that volume. I honestly think that some of those epsisodes were not good at all. He is pretty much kicked out of the peacekeepers and has to join johns crew on moya. Irony at Farscape series is a must have for any Farscape series fan, myself included. I cant wait until october when my entire
Farscape Seasons collection will be complete!

The Simpsons Seasons DVD Boxset is another relic from my childhood, I've seen this show when I was 8, I loved it then and I love The Simpsons Seasons DVD Boxset now. There wasn't anything like it at the time, it was strange yet funny and supprising grounded. Yes The Simpsons Seasons Box set is a cartoon and things that happened we're ridiculous but not to the point where it was completely unbelievable or implasable which is why to me this show was a little more acessable, because not just did it have smart humor but heart as well. And one a sidenote it was also a phinominonpeople of all ages talked about The Simpsons series 1-20, I and my friends did that from Elementry School, Middle School, High School, Collage, and even now yes it stretched that far. There were toys, comic books, posters, a movie, pinball games which were cool, even video games (well only one was good which was the arcade game from Konami).
I'll just state some reasons as to why I love The Simpsons series 1-20.
1. The Funny Satirical Atmosphere: The Simpsons series 1-20 has created sort of an alternate America, where it's one step in our reality but at the same time one step away. Most of what The Simpsons box set have is similar to what we have but there are some unique features that make Springfield
stand apart. Let alone the great animation which has created in great detail that surealistic funny universe.
2.. Use of Special Gust Stars and homage: Usually their there as a promotion device but in The Simpsons box set the guest are actually alowed to participat in a way which gives their role value and adds to The Simpsons dvd. Some play themselves but slightly contrary. I also love the use of homage which is extra spice to The Simpsons dvd added, like any good parody there is a sense of sutality and they all play it straight which is why they work so well in The Simpsons series.
4. The Episodes: The Simpsons Series just has a lot of great and memorable episodes that are just fraking hillarious, thanks to great and inspired
writing (one of the writers talk The Simpsons dvd host Connan O Brian), direction, and acting. My reasons why I like the episodes you'll just have to read my episode reviews on them. This is my personal top ten favorate episodes list.Well I've said more than enough The Simpsons dvd are the perfect disfunctional family to love.

I would have to say that Smallville DVD is by far the best show on . I normally loose interest in how long it takes for the break, for it too come back on TV, but not Smallville. It's like a high for me. So amazing.
Only one thing, is don't let things drag on, like the hole Louis liking Clark Etc. Louis Lane marries Clark in the actually Superman, so isn't it about time she found out about his powers? and they got together? I think so.
I am literally mad aboutSmallville DVD, the cast of Smallville DVD are amazing actors and actresses, I love them all. I'd love to meet or even do Smallville DVD, I am totally mad about Smallville DVD.
But I live all the way in the UK, so it's not possible, plus I'm not really and actor, so I doubt I'd get picked, but it's just how awesome the Smallville DVD is.

Smallville DVD is a great show for the people who like comedy, I prefer the first season of
Two and a Half Men DVD to the 2nd 3rd and 4th but the 5th and 6th so far have been rather good.
Criminal Minds DVD peaks the suspenseful mind. Typically I have a thriller/suspense movie figured out within the first 15-30 minutes, but most Criminal Minds DVD episodes leave me guessing-I look forward to watching this show every week.
Criminal Minds DVD and Damages are the two top shows on my list. I figure at some point Patinkin will return since he wasn't killed off Criminal Minds DVD. The season finale was quite suspenseful with Thomas Gibson supposedly being shot. I am looking forward to next season of Criminal Minds DVD.

Skins 1-3 is FANTASTIC!
The first season was perfect. The characters were great and I loved how they were played by teenagers, not adults trying to act young. The story lines were fantastic and I loved how each week would centre around a different character. My favourites from season one of Skins 1-3 were Sid and Cassie.
Season two of Skins 1-3 was also perfect, though I'd have to say the story lines weren't as great as season one but there was a lot of character development that I thoroughly enjoyed! It was also really, really sad compared to season one. I was in tears for most of the episodes.Love Entourage 1-5 . Love the bond between Vince and the boys, that is what makes this show really speciel that and Ari Gold.
This season was one of the best Entourage 1-5 so far even do it was kinda weird seeing Vince unsuccesful, i am looking forward to the 6. season and i hope that Doug Ellin and the rest of the crew is able to keep the quality level as high as at is at the moment, and i really hope that the writers dont run out ideas.As a fan of Entourage 1-5 there is really only one thing to sayHug it out **** Just Praising Vince and the boys hide This is the ultimate guy show out on TV. I never thought that watching a show about 4 best friends from the Bronx would be so completely not gay but Vince and the boys sure proved me wrong...How badly does Entourage 1-5 make us all wanna end up having our own entourage or to have a famous movie star friend whose entourage we can be in.

I'm old enough to remember when this show originally aired. Even back then, my sisters and I would laugh hysterically at the antics of Rose, Blanche, Dorothy and Sophia. The family favorite was always Sophia because she was so sarcastic and blunt, just
like my sisters and me. The brilliant writing still speaks today, though some of the subjects may be dated, the comedy is often timeless. I enjoy this show still, now on Lifetime where I am able to relive the hilarious lives of these spinning women, a pickup
every morning before I have to go to work. Long live The Golden Girls DVD! Such an AMAZING show! You can't miss a show like
Bones 1-4. From the first season you are sucked into the drama and comedy of Booth, Brennan, and the Squints. It has such a perfect blend of drama and suspense from the crimes, comedy from the character relations, and loads of sexual tension that adds to the two. The end of the fourth season was such a HUGE twist that both upset and enticed me and many others. I am DEFINITELY hyped for season 5 and future seasons. Bones 1-4 definitely worth buying and watching over and over and over again!! Thoughts about seasons I just love
Desperate Housewives 1-5 since the beginning even i just didn't really liked Desperate Housewives 1-5:sFor me writers didn't used well the "five year later" thing, which could have been so amazing !! It was a kind of boring, nothing really happened this year, too bad !My favorite season is the fourth, I just loved the tornado episode, my favorite episode of all TV shows !! The 4x03 was amazing too, just the season finale that was just Amazing. About seasons 1 to 3, I would just say that season 1 was one of the best (it's maybe the funniest) the second was a little boring too, but even good and the third was very interesting !!Anyway, just hope season 6 will be better than Desperate Housewives 1-5!!

Good fun! I started watching Gilmore DVD at a very young age and found quite amusing. The whole plot revolves around the special relationship between a single mother, Lorelai, and her daughter, Rory. As the show moves forward, we not only get to see their interaction but also their daily problems, romamces and family relationships. Though I wouldn't give Gilmore DVD the status of drama, I can tell you that there is in fact a lot of it. As Rory grows up, she encounters numerous obstacles as any teenager would do. Also, Lorelai, with a hilarious sense of humor, tries to figure her life out as a single young mother: finding a partner, coping with her old-fashioned parents and her daughter's father, becoming a business woman. Like I said, I've liked Gilmore DVD since I was very young but, as I grew older I began to realize that many of it main storylines were a bit unreal. However, I strongly recommend Gilmore DVD! can't imagine a better show and I'm not at all into the genre. The best aspect of Deadwood Seasons 1-3 DVD Boxset is that it's in no way about plot. In Deadwood Seasons 1-3 DVD Boxset, Milch succeeds where, as far as I can tell, no one else even tries. He makes the characters the focus of Deadwood Seasons 1-3 DVD Boxset, not the plot. Sure the characters go through conflict and situations that are "plot" but I never found myself on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens, but instead marveling at how real the reactions of the characters are.The character that receives the most attention is obviously Al whose monologues are as well written as they are acted. Moreover, you can actually see his back-story shape his actions unlike every character on every other show. This ER is very different just like the show, it involves everything, love, hate, jealousy, hard work, sadness, excitment, fear and almost any other possible emotion a human being could feel. And I cannot even explain in words how gret all the characters' personalities are, it is almost like real life. I have to tell you I have seen every single episode. And Stargate SG-1 means a lot to me.It has a very good story line, captivating. Intelligent scripts dealing with the human condition, the pointless nature of violence, the primitive status of our culture, our invasion of other nations, our resistance to the control of others and much more has been explored with great sensitivity and grace on this amazing Stargate SG-1 1-10 . The writers of Stargate SG-1 1-10 not only incorporate humour intStargate SG-1 1-10, they are willing to incorporate humour at the expense of Stargate SG-1 1-10. The cast including Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping are great, especially Christopher Judge who plays Teal'c. My favourite is Michael Sharks. Charmed Seasons 1-8 DVD is the only show I could stand 8 seasons of! A-MA-ZING!
I remember watching Charmed Seasons 1-8 when I was younger, I thought it was the coolest thing. Recently, over the last few months, I've collected all the seasons on DVD. It is so amazing.
I love the characters, especially the sisters (my favourite being Piper, Phoebe and Paige). I love Leo, he is so amazing and an essential to Charmed Seasons 1-8 and to the sisters lives. The demons and the humans are also amazing. Every character plays the perfect role and adds to the overall show.I only have one compliant and that's Shannon (don't snap please, I know a lot of people love her) but she should have done a guest role in the seasons where she was dead. But, I've heard she's a b**ch, so whatever.Charmed Seasons 1-8 is amazing nonetheless.

Family Guy DVD is most certainly a funny show while it is now flawless.
Family Guy DVD is one of the most entertainign shows to date, the jokes are tried and true, and it has a very satisfying miss to hit ratio. The animation is nice and te colors and drawings look top notch, but there is a small amount of recyling that may add to the feeling that the animators are not putting 100% into the show. Whiel the jokes are indeed funny, they tend to be mostly on the adult side and are most certainly not for all audiences. It also seems that alot of the miss jokes for the show tend to go over the moral line, which subtracts from the overall iage from the show. If your looking for a good laugh and a good way to pass your time, Family Guy DVD is a pretty good candidate. One of the best sci fi shows i ever watch. Story is great, characters are perfect (lol rigel!!) As usually when i first saw Farscape DVD i thought its not going to be a good show, after getting the full series and watching all the seasons plus the movies i must say Farscape DVD hit my number 1 spot in sci fi show favorites.
Very good story, every character is great, to be honest john crichton actually got me 1 season to get used to, but after one season i asked myself, wtf was i thinking, amazing character. I fell in love with all the characters but rigel is exceptional, almost every line coming out of his mouth made me laugh. Wish they never cancelled Farscape DVD , i mean the first movie isn't that good, they put too much into 1 film. Although i'm glad it explains things i was verrry disapointed and shocked when the last episode of the season said "to be continued" I recommend Farscape DVD to everyone who loves sci-fi, other shows i love are bsg, firefly incase your wondering.

Will And Grace Seasons 1-8 is Probably my third or second favorite show. Will And Grace Seasons 1-8 is just so addicting to watch! Once I started I couldn't stop watching Will And Grace Seasons 1-8. The plots are always to absorbing and all the characters are hilarious. That's enough to be a good show.

But I think the main concept that makes Will And Grace Seasons 1-8 so good is the creativity. It's not just another show of two friends who will end up falling in love at the end. The thing is, is that they can't! That's just a creative twist so it's always addicting to find out how their relation will end up.

Totally a show to see! A wonderfully written show about a gay man named Will who lives with his best friend named Grace. Karen Walker "works" as Grace's assistant at Grace Adler Designs. She loves her booze n' pills. Jack Mcfarland is Karen's flamboyantly gay poodle.
my all time favorite show. wonderful acting/writing and loveable witty characters of Will And Grace Seasons 1-8. i've never seen a show that had such sophistocated humor in it and is so well written. it was ahead of its time and made such an impact in the gay/lesbian community. i have all the dvds and i still watch all the episodes continueously. I would have to say that Smallville DVD is by far the best show on . I normally loose interest in how long it takes for the break, for it too come back on TV, but not Smallville. It's like a high for me. So amazing.
Only one thing, is don't let things drag on, like the hole Louis liking Clark Etc. Louis Lane marries Clark in the actually Superman, so isn't it about time she found out about his powers? and they got together? I think so.
I am literally mad about Smallville DVD, the cast of Smallville DVD are amazing actors and actresses, I love them all. I'd love to meet or even do Smallville DVD, I am totally mad about Smallville DVD. But I live all the way in the UK, so it's not possible, plus I'm not really and actor, so I doubt I'd get picked, but it's just how awesome the Smallville DVD is. Aslong as you keep making Smallville DVD, I'll keep watching, doesn't matter how long it ran for, and I'm 21 now, and watched since season 1.
I also think that keeping the main cast works well, as you see most shows change their cast on a new season of Smallville DVD, and it doesn't do that well.
Two and a Half Men DVD is a great show for the people who like comedy, I prefer the first season ofSmallville DVD to the 2nd 3rd and 4th but the 5th and 6th so far have been rather good.
Criminal Minds DVD peaks the suspenseful mind. Typically I have a thriller/suspense movie figured out within the first 15-30 minutes, but most Criminal Minds DVD episodes leave me guessing-I look forward to watching this show every week.

perfect end to a perfect show.

With the strange goings on around JD (Zach Braff) everyday even he seems normal in his own worlds in his head adn over the years we have grown to love Scrubs DVD character more than most other characters in a sitcom.

Ofcourse he is also backed up with a great supporting cast also with Dr Perry Ullysees Cox and his best pal Chris Turk the mix just seema right. Even when things seemed to be going bad for Scrubs DVD in the mist of the writers strike during season 7 they managed to pound out good episodes due to the high level of comedy but the great balance of emotion on Scrubs DVD, this is emphasised with the arrival of season 8.

Ofcourse when season 8 came to a close there were rumblings of the potantial of season 9 but in my eyes the way season 8 finished was the perfect send off, it had a little whiff of the Friends finale but was allot more satisfying as loose ends were wrapped up and new questions were posed.

To me Scrubs DVD has surpassed Friends and Will and Grace in comedy level due to the fact it is that good .

NCIS DVD

NCI DVD is a such great show that hooked me up from the start. I love all the cast and the script and everything. The characters are so great and cool with all the funny things they are saying. The creator of NCI DVD should be so proud of himself for making such a good show. It's one of me favourite shows, that I'm watching NCI DVD every week when it don't have a break, which it have now. I really hope that NCI DVD will be plenty more seasons with those great actors and the same energy in the script as it got now. A great tv show, unsurpassed by any of its kind. JAG was a great show when it was on, and without NCI DVD to add to it's legacy, it would have diminished into the memories of long-forgotted classics.

Great writing, interesting characters, heart-rending stories... all this and the terrific backdrop of Philadelphia make " Cold Case DVD " must-watch TV!

I'm throwing in my two cents after hearing whispers that "Cold Case DVD" is in danger of cancellation. Not because it's suffering with low ratings, but

because CBS wants to cut costs. Well, there are a whole bunch of ways to do that without removing one of the bright spots in their amazing lineup (like FINALLY ending the yawners "Survivor-East Bunghole" and "Amazing Race".... but I digress!). I

understand that there's a reason Baskin-Robbins makes 31 flavors, but everyone Cold Case DVD has a favorite. And

Cold Case DVDis one of my go-to choices, like "CSI" & "CSI-New York" from CBS. The writing is taut, the

Cold Case DVDcharacters an interesting mix, from the beautiful but damaged Lily Rush (Kathryn Morris) & her partner, Scottie Valens (Danny Pino), to the

underappreciated supporting crew like the stern but supportive Lt. Stillman (under-utilized John Finn), old vet Will Jeffries (Thom Barry) and the hysterical antics of Detective Nick Vera (the talented Jeremy Ratchford). And the whole thing is enhanced by

the terrific backdrop of Philadelphia - an amazing city of history and grit that is such a tremendous departure from the standard, boring Cold Case DVD
choices most shows stick to, like New York & LA.

Grey's Exclusive: Mitch Pileggi Returns for Season Premiere

Grey's Anatomy has prescribed an encore for X-Files alum Mitch Pileggi.

Pileggi, who first guest-starred on the ABC drama toward the end of Season 3, will return for the two-hour Season 6 premiere, again playing hospital board chairman Larry Jennings, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

When Pileggi first appeared as Jennings, the Seattle Grace bigwig required medical attention after a trip to the Amazon left him with a carnivorous fish lodged in an unfortunate part of the anatomy.

For his encore, Pileggi's hospital mucky-muck will have official business to tend to. It perhaps relates to not one but two staff doctors, Izzie Stevens and George O'Malley, looking the Grim Reaper in the eye.

Grey's Anatomy 's season premiere airs Thursday, Sept. 24, at 9 pm/ET.

Lawyers: Debbie Rowe Doesn't Want Money

Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael Jackson 's two older children, isn't seeking a payout from the Jackson family, her attorney says.

In a letter to the New York Post, Rowe's attorney Eric George refuted an article in Tuesday's paper that quoted an anonymous source who said that Katherine Jackson paid Rowe $4 million to solidify a custody agreement between the women. George's letter states unequivocally that no agreement — legal or financial — exists between Jackson and Rowe, that Rowe has not relinquished her parental rights and that the two women have not negotiated any new custody agreement.

"It would be easier to identify those few background facts that are accurate than to catalog the number of blatant falsehoods in your story," the letter reads.

The attorney's office provided a copy of the letter to us. The New York Post did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

Rowe gave birth to Michael Jackson's two elder children, Prince Michael and Paris.

-Contrary to Cindy Adams' report, Elizabeth Taylor went into the hospital for a scheduled test, and not due to her grief over Michael Jackson's death, CNN confirms.

-CNN reports that LaToya Jackson was paid by London's Daily Mail for the interview in which she claimed that Michael was murdered.

-Fans held a vigil at London's O2 Arena Monday to commemorate what would have been the opening night of Jackson's European shows.

LaToya Jackson: "I Believe Michael Was Murdered"

Michael Jackson 's sister, LaToya, told a British tabloid she believes the singer was "murdered."

"I believe Michael Jackson was murdered, I felt that from the start. Not just one person was involved, rather it was a conspiracy of people," the 53-year-old told the U.K.'s Daily Mail.

LaToya Jackson said "a shadowy entourage" cut her brother off from family and friends and forced him to sign up for 50 comeback concerts at London's O2 arena.

The entourage also gave Michael drugs that led to his death, she said.

The Los Angeles County coroner will not receive the results of toxicology tests performed on Michael Jackson for several weeks. But LaToya Jackson said a private autopsy revealed that four fresh needle marks were found on her brother's neck, the Daily Mail reported.

True Blood's Michelle Forbes Ponders "The Riddle of Maryann"

Michelle Forbes likes that her True Blood character, Maryann Forrester, is such an enigma. It reminds her of how she got the acting gig. "I was told a lot, yet very little, and that is the riddle of Maryann," she says, quixotically. "I was so lost initially." Join the club. You may have heard that Maryann is a maenad, and that's technically accurate — but it's certainly not the whole story. Forbes was gracious enough to help us understand Maryann's maybe-not-so-evil-after-all ways in this two-part interview. DVDCollects.com: When I heard Alan Ball was going to be doing a vampire show, I thought: Oh, no! I'm not generally a fan of goth or genre-type stuff.
Michelle Forbes: That's what's so fascinating about [True Blood]. For someone who seems to be known for her sci-fi career, I had not thought of vampires for more than five minutes in my entire life. But this show is not about vampires. It's looking at all these different beings — a telepathic waitress, a shape-shifter bar owner, or, you know, Stephen Root's lonely accountant vampire — and it gives such a real face to this world of the supernatural that I always found rather goofy.

DVDCollects.com: And the end result is both fun and sophisticated.
Forbes: You have this landscape for social commentary, for questioning injustice, compassion and our pack-mentality thinking allegorically.

DVDCollects.com: Were you a fan of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels?
Forbes: I'd never even heard of them. I bought them, read the first one and then put them down because we are telling our own story. For the "book-ies" out there, everyone has to remember that it's an adaptation, not a translation.

DVDCollects.com: There is a character who's similar to Maryann in the books though, isn't there?
Forbes: Yes, Callisto — she shows up in the second book. I was like, why didn't we use that name? It's so much prettier than Maryann.

DVDCollects.com: What did they tell you in advance about Maryann?
Forbes: There were discussions about Greek mythology, and yet you open a script and you're dancing to the B-52's. It was a little hard trying to understand how the two mesh together, but with these writers and [series creator Alan Ball], the trust factor is massive. Everything became evident the more I sat still.

DVDCollects.com: What exactly did you talk about?
Forbes: We talked about Bacchus and Dionysus; what a maenad is, how they're led by appetite, how they thrive off other peoples' appetites, chaos and destruction. But, you know, that was the diving board, but it wasn't the pool.

DVDCollects.com: So Maryann is a hybrid of some sort?
Forbes: Yes. With these characters, you can do as much research as you want, but you're not going to find out that vampires sometimes wear tracksuits and flip-flops. So you take that foundation, and then you jump into the pool. You just get wet.

DVDCollects.com: So then how did you make Maryann contemporary?
Forbes: I watched a lot of Ken Russell films. I thought a lot about New York in the '80s, [avant-garde punk singer] Lydia Lunch, when there was just freedom and excess and people were just knocking down walls, and there was chaos and destruction. On the Lower East Side, there were rats running through the street and people loved it! Stepping over bodies to walk home! The burning trash cans. There was just this creativity.

DVDCollects.com: But then, Maryann's veneer is very calming and kind of New Age.
Forbes: She's happy; she's happier than all of us. It pisses me off actually.

DVDCollects.com.com: What do you like about playing her?
Forbes: I tend to play a lot of tortured people, so it has been liberating playing Maryann. There is a sense of contentment that was, to be honest, initially horrifying and frightening to me. She's not afraid of anything, and not in that clichéd way, she's truly just OK. She's not afraid. She can eat what she likes, she can have sex with whom she likes, she can play with whom she likes. She can dress in beautiful clothes. She has everything at her fingertips. There's nothing she doesn't need.

Why do i like this show so much? Only one reason i guess... cause it's FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!

From an outisde perspective House maybe one of the most predictable shows ever, but from someone who actually watched more than 13 episodes you would know why it's a hit. Though the mysterious medical cases maybe a reason, it's mostly the amazing cast of actors, and no i do not mean just the main characters, i'm also talking about guest stars too. House just knows what actors are great for that part. It's not only the cast but also the spectacular writing. Writing doesn't get better then this. It applies drama, comedy, philosophy, mystery, and more in a perfect balance for a show like this. What makes House great is how important the guest stars are. They aren't there just for character development or plot. Each guest star in each episode of House has a significant role in the episode. Each patient has this dark secret or does something so unexpected that you're simply taken by surprise. The patients' chracters are developed so efficently in one episode, you just have to praise the writing. The main characters are also really interesting. Each with a unique personality and each having their own problems which in turn also takes you by surprise. The writers again displaying their genius, take their time to work on the character developments for the main cast knowing full well that they have lot's of time to work on that and slowly progressing their changes within each episode. Though each and everyone in House is a great character, there is no doubt that the most interesting character on House is non-other than Hugh Laurie as House. House may just well be one of the most interesting t.v characters of all time if not the most. He is an athiest, psychotic, brilliant, doctor who toys with his patients as-well as his colleagues. He is a total ass who you just find yourself rooting for most of the time. He is like a anti-hero. He saves people's lives, but for all the wrong reasons. He only cares for the thrill of solving the case than helping the patient but still does his best to save their lives while also trying to spread his philosophy. His motives differ with each episode and you never fully understand him. Each episode depicts him trying to solve a puzzling case and each episode shows him being in a inner struggle with his emotional unstability, constant pain in his leg, and his habit of messing up every relationship he's ever been in (friend or more). His only friend being his colleague Wilson and his only relieve for his pain being a drug he constantly takes (vicodin) House has very little be happy of, which is why everyone deems him "miserable". Hugh Laurie does an amazing job portraying his character and House is truly the biggest reason why this show is such a big hit. House is my favorite show and truly a must watch for anyone.

Starting Sept. 22, NCIS fans will double their pleasure when CBS' high-rated procedural is followed by the series premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles. The much-heralded spin-off concerns the L.A.-based Office of Special Projects and its own team of Special Agents, led by Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J. Here, the man who famously rapped about "Going Back to Cali" reveals how he landed in Los Angeles this TV season.

DVDCollects.com: That was quite a performance you gave at the CBS upfronts. [LL Cool J surprised the crowd with a rousing performance of "Mama Said Knock You Out."]
LL Cool J: Oh, thank you, man. I had a good time with that.

DVDCollects.com: Had you been on the hunt for a TV gig?
LL Cool J: I had a deal with CBS for about three years, and we were looking for the right show. We tried a few things and they weren't really right, but when this opportunity came along, I met with [NCIS boss] Shane Brennan and we clicked instantly. It felt like the right thing.

DVDCollects.com: Tell me about the first meeting between you and Chris O'Donnell. How did it go?
LL Cool J: Very, very cool. We're culturally from two different places — obviously I've got an urban, inner-city vibe, and he's more of an outside-of-Chicago kinda guy. Our musical tastes are really different, our upbringings... So it was cool to have this New York guy and this Midwest guy getting together.

DVDCollects.com: Does Special Agent Sam Hannah rap, like as a hobby?
LL Cool J: [Laughs] No, no, no.... I'm going to allow this to be a new chapter in my life!

DVDCollects.com: What skills might you have to learn for the role?
LL Cool J: Well, he speaks Arabic and is fluent in a few other languages, and he deals with a lot of technology.... I have my hands full.

DVDCollects.com: What was your reaction when Oscar winner Linda Hunt was added to the cast?
LL Cool J: It's hot. From what I hear, there's going to be some really cool dancing between me and her. She's gonna be in my face.

The L Word was a groundbreaking, unique and interesting show, that anybody not matter his or her sexual orientation could relate to.

The L Word was a groundbreaking, unique and interesting show. It broke down the barriers of television and changed society. The L Word offered an outlet into world where I didn't have to hide who I actually was. It offered a world with characters I, and almost anyone, straight or gay could relate to. The L Word let me be myself, when in the real world I couldn't and still can't. The L Word was funny, drama-filled, and you can't forget the amazing sex scenes. Each character had their own problems, but each one still stayed close to their friends. Bette and Tina are, in my opinion, one of the best relationships on the show. Though both Bette and Tina have their conflicts with each other and with themselves, they do truly love one another. Alice is definitely the funniest character in the show, though she still has her own conflicts and does struggle with love. Shane is a very complex character. She cannot commit to relationships, even though she may love the person. She puts herself through torture, even though she does not deserve it. Helena, in the beginning of the show is selfish and manipulating. However by the third season she begins to soften up and becomes a real friend. Throughout the show, Helena struggles with trust issues, but after living without any money, she learns how to take care of herself and be independent. Jenny is one of the most interesting characters. She is one of those people that you either love or hate, and your feelings can change instantly. At first, Jenny is an innocent girl living with her boyfriend, but as the show goes one Jenny changes drastically. By the end of the fourth season, Jenny is arrogant and manipulative. Jenny for some reason tends to ruin relationships, though I don't think she always means to. All of the characters bring something different to the story and I think everyone can relate to at least one of the characters. After six seasons, The L Word ended, and a jam-packed six seasons they were. The L Word ended with a controversial bang, in season six. Despite the many opinions on the ending, The L Word ended the similarly to the way it started. The show started with Jenny's "birth" and ended with her death. We are never supposed to know who killed her. It will remain a mystery forever. Anybody can watch The L Word, no matter his or her sexual orientation. The L Word was about people with flaws trying to find love, and I think everybody can relate to that.

Fox has pushed back Dollhouse's return date to Friday, Sept. 25, to afford Whedon & Co. sufficient time to produce enough hours to kick off the season with at least three or four consecutive episodes.

An encore of the series premiere of Glee (yes, it's an all-new episode) will now air in Dollhouse's original return slot of Friday, Sept. 18 at 9 pm/ET.

Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku as Echo, a woman whose personality has been erased. An illegal, oftentimes amoral underground operation imprints Echo with custom personalities specific to the needs of its high-paying clientele.

Season 1 of Dollhouse arrives on DVD July 28 for regular folk, but is available six days earlier in a special, limited-supply Comic-Con edition (to be picked up in person at the San Diego event).

The latest Desperate Housewives news has us in the mood for a threesome.

The facts are these: Drea de Matteo's character will have a 19-year-old son who we hear is a bit of a lady-killer. Maiara Walsh, who plays Gaby's headstrong niece, has been promoted to be a series regular. ABC has announced that Andrea Bowen, Susan's eye-rolling daughter, Julie, will return to the show for the Season 6 premiere. (we has confirmed that her stay on Wisteria Lane will be significantly longer.)

Isn't it time we got these crazy kids together? So let's cast the Italian Stallion already, shall we?

-Shoe-polish his hair and Disney vet Cody Linley (he of the fake-torrid ballroom affair with Julianne Hough on ABC's Dancing with the Stars and Disney's Hannah Montana) might make for an interesting suitor. He's got gawky charm to spare.

-Val Emmich, who worked Betty's last nerve as her space-case neighbor on Ugly Betty, might be just the right kind of soulful to appeal to these different ladies.

-Former child star Josh Peck, who surprised us last year with The Wackness, does a great Brooklyn accent.

Michael Jackson "was an idol, a hero and even a king. We come together and we remember the time," Pastor Lucious Smith said in his opening remarks of the Michael Jackson Memorial. 7. Remember the Time We Ate KFC?: Magic Johnson provides a moment of levity when he recounts a dinner at Jackson's house. The former Los Angeles Laker visited Jackson to discuss appearing in the "Remember the Time" video and ordered grilled chicken from Jackson's personal chef, only to learn that Jackson had ordered Kentucky Fried Chicken to be served as they sat on the floor. Johnson calls it the "greatest moment of my life."

6. One Glove, One Love: Pallbearers pay tribute to Jackson in one very distinct and unified way — each donning one silver-sequined glove — to commemorate the singer's look during the 1984 Victory tour. It also reminds us that Jackson was not only an entertainment icon, but a style one as well.

The G.O.A.T.: Motown founder Berry Gordy recalls a wide range of MJ moments, from playing baseball to Jackson's rendition of the Smokey Robinson-penned "Who's Lovin' You?" to his legal woes ("Sure, there were some sad times and questionable decisions on his part, but Michael Jackson accomplished everything he dreamed of") to the King of Pop title — which Gordy says is too small of a title for an artist so seminal. "I think simply he is the greatest entertainer that ever lived," Gordy says, earning a standing ovation.

4. Summer Goodbye: Stevie Wonder performs the eerily appropriate "Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer" from his 1971 album Where I'm Coming From. The song, which was also featured in Janet Jackson's movie Poetic Justice, includes the lyrics: "I never dreamed you'd leave in summer/I thought you would go then come back home/I thought the cold would leave by summer/But my quiet nights will be spent alone." Wonder then asks: "Michael, why didn't you stay?"

3. Come Together: Harkening back to Jackson's video for "Heal the World," which features children suffering from unrest, groups of children came together on stage to perform the tune and to honor, as Kobe Bryant pointed out, the entertainer who holds the most charities supported by a pop star record in the Guinness Book of World Records.

2. No Truer Words Were Ever Spoken: Following a stirring performance of "Will You Be There" from a very pregnant Jennifer Hudson, who herself has endured loss in the past year, the performance concludes with a chilling Jackson voiceover of the spoken portion of the song.

Pam Beesly isn't the only one ready to take the plunge. Mirroring her Office alter ego's betrothed status, Jenna Fischer has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, writer Lee Kirk, the actress' rep confirms to us.

Kirk popped the question on June 30, while the couple was vacationing in Europe. The two have been dating since January 2008 but didn't go public until September at the Emmys.

This will be the first marriage for Kirk and the second for Fischer. The actress split from filmmaker James Gunn in 2007, after nearly seven years of marriage.

Susan Boyle Hits Recording Studio, Sounds "Fantastic"

"She sounds fantastic on record," Cowell tells People. "She's so good. The album is not just going to be show tunes."

But fans of the Britain's Got Talent sensation won't get to hear the tune any time soon. Cognizant of Boyle's hospitalization for exhaustion and the pressure put on her during her run to second place on the series, Cowell says, "We're going to take our time with this." Last month, the acerbic judge admitted the Talent team made mistakes in handling Boyle's sudden rise to stardom. Boyle recently missed a few shows on the Talent tour to rest.

A record label insider told the magazine that Boyle has the option of walking away from the album any time she wants. "There's no pressure on her to do this at all," the insider says.

Rumer Willis' latest TV gig will take her to 90210.

The eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Willis will appear on at least one fall episode as Gia, a lesbian reporter for West Bev's "Blaze" news show, a CW rep confirms.

Willis' 90210 visit marks the ingenue's fourth TV guest-star role in the past year. Previously, she appeared on Army Wives, CSI: NY and Medium. Her big-screen credits include the Anna Faris comedy House Bunny.

As the progeny of two Hollywood luminaires, Willis served as Miss Golden Globe on the awards show's January 2008 broadcast.

Online Lottery Announced for Jackson's Public Memorial

An online lottery will distribute only 17,500 tickets for Michael Jackson 's public memorial service at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Tuesday.

Registration for the lottery at StaplesCenter.com ends at 9 pm/ET on Saturday. Eleven thousand fans will receive a seat in the Staples Center; the remaining 6,500 will be able to watch a simulcast from the neighboring Nokia Theater, said Tim Leiweke, CEO of sports and entertainment promoter AEG.

On Friday, City Councilwoman Jan Perry encouraged fans to watch the memorial from home, as there will be a free pool feed available to television networks and for online streaming. There will be no funeral procession, no outdoor broadcast and the entire area surrounding the stadium will be closed to the public.

Officials did not release any further details about the content or format of the public memorial. The L.A. Times reported that a small, private ceremony for the family will precede the Staples Center event.

Meanwhile, questions remain about whether the biological mother of two of Michael Jackson's three children will seek custody. The L.A. Times reported that Deborah Rowe's current attorney, Eric George, said she has not decided whether to pursue custody. (The mother of Jackson's youngest child, Prince Michael II, 7, is unknown.) But People reported that Rowe will fight for custody of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11. "Frankly, she won't have to fight for them," Iris Finsilver, Rowe's former attorney, tells the magazine. "She is the children's biological mother. She loves her children."

The discrepancy may stem from comments Rowe made to NBC4, an L.A. television station, in which she said, "I want my children. ... I am stepping up. I have to." George later told the Times that it would be a "distortion of the truth" to take Rowe's comments to NBC4 as her final decision in the matter.

A court previously granted temporary custody of the children to Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother. The L.A. Times, citing a source close to the Jackson family, says that they intend to fight a challenge from Rowe and seek permanent custody.
